Carlos Enrique was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended de Pablo Casals Conservatory of Music and studied composition with Amaury Veray and guitar with Leonardo Egurbida. Later he graduated magna cum laude in Music and Classic Guitar. He received several awards for his exceptional talent in composition. In 1981 he was awarded 3rd prize finalist in the Mobil Corporation Classic Guitar competition in San Juan Puerto Rico, and was the only one to receive honorable mention for his original compositions. In 1983, 84’ and 85’ Carlos was awarded 1st, 3rd  and 1st prize by the Institute of Culture of Puerto Rico for his compositions based on puertorrican dances for classic guitar. Later, Carlos studied in the United States at the Esther Boyer College of Music in Temple University in Philadelphia, where he again graduated magna cum laude, with a Master in Music and Post Master Diploma in Performance.  Carlos enjoys music, composition, reading, building computers, photography, dancing, bird watching, astronomy and gardening. Presently he has just finished his new album "Impressions" produced by O'More College of Design, which includes
